I. Product Definition and Core Functions
Anti-glare fence is a kind of metal screen type traffic safety facility. It is made by mechanical processing of metal plates into a mesh structure and is mainly used in scenarios such as highways and Bridges. It enhances the safety of night driving by blocking the glare of oncoming vehicle lights. Its core functions include:
1.Anti-glare function: Effectively reduces the interference of strong light to drivers when meeting oncoming vehicles at night and lowers the risk of traffic accidents.
2.Isolation and protection: Separate the upper and lower traffic lanes to prevent foreign objects from falling (such as bridge anti-throw nets), taking into account both protection and aesthetics.
3.Lateral visibility: It ensures that drivers can continuously observe the road environment and reduces their sense of psychological depression.

Ii. Materials and Manufacturing Processes
1.Main materials
Metal substrates: low-carbon steel plates (Q235), stainless steel plates, aluminum-magnesium alloy plates, etc. Among them, low-carbon steel has a high cost performance, while stainless steel is corrosion-resistant but has a relatively high cost.
Surface treatment:
Galvanizing process: Hot-dip galvanizing (zinc coating ≥85μm) or electro-galvanizing, providing basic rust prevention capability. The service life of hot-dip galvanizing can reach 15-20 years.
Coating process: PVC dip coating (thickness ≥0.8mm) or powder coating, color options available (such as green, yellow), enhancing weather resistance and aesthetic appeal. The dip coating layer provides rust prevention for ten years.
2.Manufacturing process
Mesh forming: Through stamping and stretching, diamond-shaped hole steel plate mesh is formed. The mesh size is such as 40×80mm, the wire stem width is 2.0-4.99mm, and the flatness error of the mesh surface is ≤±2mm/m.
Frame welding: Weld the mesh to the special-shaped pipe or round pipe frame. The frame adopts peach-shaped column pipe (1.2mm thick), with firm welding points and strong tensile strength.
Assembly and fixation: It is connected to the hot-dip galvanized column through side ears and flange plates, and fastened with anti-theft bolts (M16), with the torque controlled at 35-60N · m.

Iii. Product Specifications and Application Scenarios
1.Common specifications
Mesh size: Height 0.8-1.5m, width 1.5-3.7m. Typical specifications include 1800×2500mm, 800×3700mm.
Mesh types: rhombic holes (40×80mm), hexagonal holes, etc. The proportion of mesh area affects the light transmittance and anti-glare effect.
Column parameters: Hot-dip galvanized steel pipe (Φ114×4.5mm), with a spacing of 4m, and a break section set every 12m (double-column structure).
2.Application scenarios
Expressways: Central median strips, bridge sections, long straight sections and areas with smaller radius of horizontal curves.
Urban roads: Central median strips of expressways and main roads to reduce the impact of light pollution on surrounding residents.
Special areas: Along railway lines, around airports, industrial parks and other places that require isolation and anti-glare measures.
Iv. Maintenance Suggestions
Regular inspection: Inspect the integrity of the coating, the tightness of the bolts and the verticality of the columns annually, and repair any damaged areas in a timely manner.
Cleaning and maintenance: Use a high-pressure water gun to rinse off the dust on the mesh surface to prevent long-term dust accumulation from affecting the light transmittance.
V. Key Points for Selection
Environmental adaptability: Stainless steel is preferred in coastal areas, while in cold regions, low-temperature impact resistance should be taken into consideration.
Budget balance: For short-term projects, PVC coated products can be selected. For long-term projects, a double-coating solution of galvanizing and plastic coating is recommended.
