Connecting and Secured Gabion Mesh
Gabion mesh accessories are crucial for ensuring secure connections and overall structural stability. Key accessories include:
Tiedging Wire:
Material: Same as the mesh wire, such as hot-dip galvanized, galvanized PVC coated, or Galfan.
Purpose: Wrapped around the edge of adjacent gabions every 20-30 cm to connect the gabion edges. This ensures the connections are secure and prevents water flow from widening gaps.
Specifications: Typically 20-30 cm in length, but can be customized based on gabion thickness. Allow some slack when wrapping to accommodate changes in shape after the gabion is filled with stones.
Divination Mesh:
Material: Same as the mesh wire, same thickness as the edge mesh.
Purpose: Used to horizontally or vertically divide the interior of the gabion, allowing large gabions to be divided into smaller areas (e.g., installing a vertical partition in a 2m×1m×1m gabion to divide it into two 1m×1m×1m areas). This prevents stones from accumulating in one spot, allowing the gabion cage to bear pressure more evenly.
Installation: The partitions are fixed to the gabion cage surface by welding or using binding wire to ensure they are firmly in place.

Clips:
Material: Made of stamped galvanized steel or stainless steel.
Purpose: Used to replace some binding wire, quickly connecting edges and partitions to the gabion cage surface. Installation is 30% faster than binding wire, ideal for large projects.
Specifications: Size matches the diameter of the edge wire. Common models are suitable for 3.0mm and 3.5mm edge wire. The clips must fit tightly against the wire and must not be loose.
Base and Fixing Posts:
Material: Reinforced concrete base, galvanized steel pipe fixing posts.
Purpose: Used to fix the bottom of the gabion cage and prevent it from sliding, especially suitable for steep slopes (above 45°) or fast-flowing rivers.
Installation: The base is buried 30-50 cm below the bottom of the gabion cage. The fixing piles are spaced 2-3 meters apart and driven at least 1 meter into the ground. Then, the fixing piles are welded or tied to the edge wires of the gabion cage using binding wire.

Advantages of Gabion Mesh: Ideal Environment
Gabion mesh has a wide range of uses and can adapt to various environments. The following are its most common applications:
Slope Stabilization: On mountain roads or slopes, gabion walls help prevent landslides and erosion. They act like a safety net for the land!
Riverbank Protection: Along rivers and streams, gabion structures protect riverbanks from erosion by strong water flows, maintaining the good condition of waterways.
Coastal Protection: In coastal areas, gabion walls can block sea waves, protecting coastlines and infrastructure from seawater erosion.
Retaining Walls: In gardens or construction sites, gabion walls can be used to build terraces or support soil, combining practicality and aesthetics.
Hydraulic Structures: Gabions are used in dams, weirs, and other hydraulic structures to control water flow and prevent erosion around these critical areas.
Landscaping: Gabion structures can be used to create unique landscape elements such as benches, flower beds, and decorative walls. They are a fantastic way to add an industrial chic touch to any space!
