1.Ddfinition and structure

Wave-shaped guardrail net(also known as wave-shaped beam guardrail)is a semi-rigid anti-collision protection facility.Its cors consists of wave-shaped plates(for bearing impacts),posts(fox fixde supports),ant-blocking blocks/brackets(for buffering energy),and fasteners(for connecting parts).In some scenarios,it includes end ends(to prevent sharp ends of the guardrail from injuring people).

2.Core features

Crashworthiness:It absorbs impact energy through the elastic deformation of the corrugated plate(up to over 40KJ),guiding the vehicle back to its trajectory and reducing the severity of the accident.

Adaptability:Suitable for various terrains such as flat land,mountainous areas,curves,and slopes,withe costomizable length and height.

Economy:The material is mainly Q235 low-carbon steel.After anti-corrosion treatment,the service life is 10 to 20 years,and the maintenance cost is low.

Easy imstallation:Modular design,no need for complex equipment,and short construction period.

Iii. Key Points for Selection

Selection should be made based on a comprehensive judgment of the scenario,environment and budget.Key points:

According to the anti-collision grade:Select GradeA/SB for expressways,Grade B for main roads,and Grade C for branch roads/sites.

According to the degree of environmental corrosion: In coastal and humid areas,select hot-dip galvanizing+powder coating(double anti-corrosion),while in dry inland areas,single hot-dio galvanizing can be chosen.

According to the installation terrain:Use straight columns on flat ground,and use curved columns or adjust the column spacing in mountainous areas and curves to adapt to the undulating terrain.

Iv. Key Points for Maintenance and Care

1.Regular inspection:Couduct daily inspections every month and comprehensive tests every quarter,with a focus on checking the tightness of bolts,the deformation of corrugated plates,and whether the anti-corrosion coating has peeled off or rusted.Record and handle any problems immediately

2.Damage repair:After a vehicle impact,the deformed corrugated plates and columns must be replaced as a whole.Splicing for repair is strictly prohibited.When the local rusted area exceeds30%,anti-corrosion paint needs to be reapplied or the components replaced.

3.Environmental adaptation:In coastal areas,the anti-corrosion coating should be inspected every two years;in inland dry areas,it should be inspected every three years.In winter,the snow beside the guardrails on sonw-covered sections should be cleared in a timely manner to prevent frost heaving from damaging the foundation.
